High Performance Catalytic Military Muffler
The Stlth Cat™ is a custom engineered, stainless muffler which incorporates ESW’s proprietary metallic woven mesh substrate and diesel oxidization catalyst formula. This extremely durable technology works to reduce diesel engine emissions (smoke) including Particulates (PM), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO). The substrate by design also provides excellent mechanical sound abatement qualities by creating thousands of frequency reflecting and cancelling intersections.
The Stlth Cat™ incorporates two dynamic venturi systems. The first is an internal venturi designed to continuously vent the engine compartment of fumes and excess heat. The second is an external system working in conjunction with a lightweight aluminum directional diffuser to increase the cooling of the air across the outer skin of the Stlth Cat™. These venturi create a dilution of the exhaust gases while reducing its temperature and the engines visible smoke. The diffuser also acts as a disconnect between the muffler and the directional baffle redirecting the exhaust flow towards the ground. It also works to eliminate the potential for water to enter the muffler during amphibious operations.
