ESW’s Scat-IR-Shield™ is made of lightweight aircraft grade aluminum lined with the latest proprietary Infrared (IR)/heat reflective and insulation materials. These materials redirect the heat generated from the muffler back towards its source. By doing so, the system reduces the transfer of heat energy to the outer shell of the Scat-IR-Shield™. The exterior surface is coated with a heat retarding non-reflective material to further blend its profile and exterior slip resistance. The finished Scat-IR-Shield™ utilizes a floating skirt and retractable panel design coupled with a high temperature silicone seal which mates directly to the hull of the vehicle.
