Light Armored Vehicle - 25 (LAV-25)
The LAV-25 is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. It provides strategic mobility to reach and engage the threat, tactical mobility for effective use of fire power, fire power to defeat soft and armored targets, and battlefield survivability to carry out combat missions. It is air transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5 and CH-53 E. When combat loaded there are 210 ready rounds and 420 stowed rounds of 25mm ammunition as well as 400 ready rounds and 1200 stowed rounds of 7.62mm. There are 8 ready rounds and 8 stowed rounds of smoke grenades. A supplementary M240E1 7.62mm machine gun can be pintle-mounted at the commander's station in the turret. The LAV-25 is fully amphibious with a maximum of 3 minutes preparation.

The light armored vehicle (air defense variant) consists of what equates to an Avenger turret mounted on the chassis of a light armored vehicle - 25 (LAV-25). Its primary mission is to provide low altitude air defense against forces from airborne threats by fixed and rotary winged aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles capable of speeds of zero to 500 NMPH, at ranges within the envelope of the Stinger Missiles and the 25mm ammunition. A secondary mission is to provide ground defense against light armored mechanized forces. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.

Light Armored Vehicle - Command and Control (LAV-C²)
The United States Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle, Command and Control (LAV-C²) is a tactical vehicle that provides the necessary voice and data connectivity to intelligence, fire support, and maneuver elements in support of the Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) battalion or independent LAR company units during amphibious operations and subsequent operations ashore.
The LAV-C² is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. The LAV-C² is a Type I raised roof chassis outfitted with communication stations that allows the Unit Commander the capability to command, control and communicate (C3) the activities of his forces under full armored protection. This mobile command station provides field commanders with all necessary resources to control and coordinate light armored units in all assigned roles. It is air transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5 and CH-53 E. When combat loaded there are 200 ready rounds and 800 stowed rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. There are 8 ready rounds and 8 stowed rounds of smoke grenades. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.

The LAV-AT is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. It is air transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5 and CH-53 E. This vehicle provides mobile, armored, accurate and destructive fire from defiled positions against heavy armored target and fixed fortifications. With its mobility, it can keep pace with its applicable assigned military unit to provide highly mobile, protected anti-armor fire support to light infantry and reconnaissance forces. The LAV-AT also provides the capability to defeat heavy, armored targets at long ranges. The vehicle can be used in both the defensive and offensive roles. Its primary weapon station is the Emerson turret. When combat loaded there are 2 ready and 14 stowed TOW II ATGMs as well as 200 ready rounds and 800 stowed rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. There are 8 ready rounds and 8 stowed rounds of smoke grenades. The missiles can be loaded under armor. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.

USMC Mobile Electronic Warfare Support System (MEWSS)
The MEWSS is U.S. Marine Corps' ground component of the Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Common Sensor (IEWCS) system. It uses the same subsystems as the Army's Ground Based Common Sensor-Light and Heavy (GBCS-L & GBCS-H), and the Advanced Quickfix (AQF). The MEWSS uses the Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) as its platform. The MEWSS is capable of intercept and location. It is also capable of conducting surgical electronic attack against designated targets.The MEWSS is operated in the USMC MAGTF area typically at or beyond the FLOT.

The LAV-R is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. This vehicle is capable of safely uprighting overturned LAVs while minimizing additional damage. It has the tactical mobility to reach and recover/support disabled vehicles. The vehicle is capable of towing a disabled LAV with suspension damage. It is air transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5 and CH-53 E. When combat loaded there are 200 ready rounds and 800 stowed rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. There are 8 ready rounds and 8 stowed rounds of smoke grenades. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.

The LAV-M is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. It provides indirect fire support to light infantry and reconnaissance forces; providing high explosive area fire, covering smoke and illumination for first line-units. It is air transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5 and CH-53 E. When combat loaded there are 5 ready and 94 stowed 81mm bombs as well as 200 ready rounds and 800 stowed rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. There are 8 ready rounds and 8 stowed rounds of smoke grenades. The base plate and bipod for ground mounted mortar is stowed on the vehicle. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.

A Foreign Military Sale is being developed for the Light Armored Vehicle-Assault Gun (LAV-AG). The main armament of the LAV-AG will be a 90mm cannon, providing direct fire and kinetic energy and chemical energy capabilities to the light forces. This development is being done by foreign companies. The US Government has been contracted to evaluate the performance and safety of the entire system. CCAC is evaluating the performance and safety of the 90mm ammunition. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious within 3 minutes.
